IAC: The Centre for Adoption is a specialist intercountry adoption agency who welcome enquiries from anyone interested in adopting a child from abroad. They will be able to offer advice and guidance on overseas adoption and, where appropriate, complete an assessment.
To adopt a child from abroad, you must be eligible to adopt both within the UK as well as from the relevant country overseas. Sometimes that country’s eligibility criteria might be different than the UK’s, but you can check your eligibility and find more information and frequently asked questions on the IAC: The Centre for Adoption website.
