Kate and Jane

Kate and Jane adopted Jack and Freddie. Jane is still on adoption leave, and Kate praised her for her patience and resilience since adopting.

“The adoption journey is a long process, it’s like having an inquisitive friend come round each week. We had ups and downs, a change in social workers, and had to make some modifications to the house, but it was all worthwhile and we have been well supported by Adoption Lancashire and Blackpool throughout our journey. We loved meeting other adopters along the way, who are going through the same thing."

“The hardest part was the transition when the children actually moved in. They are two little whirlwinds, the house is always so busy, but I can’t imagine them not living with us now, and we are so glad they will have each other as they get older.”

"The little things are the best part of being a family and getting to know our children. The more you get to know them, the better it gets. We were just watching them the other day, playing together, learning, and making up their own rules. We just love going out together and being a family."
